The Imperva + TollBit Integration is Now Live
AI systems are consuming more website content than ever before. A majority of this scraping is happening without consent, attribution, or compensation — placing strain on infrastructure and diminishing the value of high quality content.
As AI traffic grows, TollBit is continuing to expand its ecosystem, working across CDNs and cybersecurity platforms, to deliver a fully tech-agnostic solution that plugs into any existing stack.
Today, we're excited to announce that Imperva's Cloud WAF now integrates directly with TollBit, giving publishers and site owners an end-to-end solution to:
-
Identify AI bots at the edge
-
Enforce access rules
-
Redirect AI traffic to the TollBit Bot Paywall
-
Apply your content access terms and pricing
-
Convert AI scraping into sanctioned, paid access
The release of this integration is another step forward for publishers and sites towards establishing fair compensation from AI bots while maintaining full control over their online assets. Imperva customers can create a TollBit account for free and easily set-up this integration in under an hour.
Why this matters
AI-driven content consumption continues to accelerate and just blocking bots is no longer enough. Site owners need a solution that gives them:
-
Clear rules for how AI models access their content
-
Visibility into who is consuming it
-
Compensation when AI systems extract value
The Imperva + TollBit integration delivers exactly that — combining edge-level AI bot detection with sanctioned access and monetization.
How the Integration Works
Step 1: Imperva Identifies AI Bots
Cloud WAF's AI bot detection classifies crawlers, scrapers, and LLM collectors at the edge.
Step 2: Imperva Redirects AI Traffic
Using Imperva's open platform, you create a Security Rule that redirects AI traffic to your TollBit subdomain.
Step 3: TollBit Applies Access Rules + Monetization
Once routed:
-
TollBit evaluates the AI bot or agent
-
Access and pricing rules are applied
-
Payment is collected (if required)
-
Content is returned only after conditions are met
Step 4: Analytics Flow Back to Your Dashboard
By forwarding Imperva's traffic logs to TollBit, TollBit Analytics gives you complete visibility into AI bot activity, via reports designed for business users that include info on:
-
Which bots are hitting your site
-
Which pages they're scraping
-
How often they're scraping
-
How many human visitors they are sending back (referral data)
-
And more
